Wonderful project!
Tonight we had a book signing at the Westborough Pubic Library. We had a great crowd and once again, learned so much from our audience. We truly love these signings and having people share their stories with us! It is truly inspiring and rewarding for us to be a part of this amazing journey.
During our presentations we typically touch base on the cemeteries associated with these institutions. While some cemeteries are in a terrible state, others are meticulous and the patients are honored and memorialized. Westborough State Hospital is an inspiring work in progress. At Pine Grove Cemetery in Westborough, there are graves marked only with a number. This is about to change. A group of people are currently researching names, patient records, death records and every other possible way to identify these people so that they can be acknowledged with a memorial.
